Bastille Day Menu at Le Garrick

Celebrate Bastille Day (Saturday 14 July 2015) at a true French institution right in the heart of Covent Garden. With a special menu and a free shot of Eau de Vie for everyone dining, Le Garrick is the party destination this Bastille Day.

On Saturday 14 July and Sunday 15 July diners can enjoy two courses for £20, available from midday until 5pm. Le Garrick have put together a special La Fête Nationale menu showcasing their signature dishes using French recipes passed down through Charles’ family. ‘One of the secrets is staying true to your roots’ said Charles Lepelletier, owner of Le Garrick. ‘We’re a French restaurant renowned for our classics, so they have to be on the menu. People come expecting their favourite dish, so we like to keep them on the menu.’

The Bastille Day menu includes all the classics – start with either Soupe a l’oignon, Cassolette de Calamars au Piment D’Espelette, Pate de champagne maison or Escargots de Bourgogne. Followed by mains which include Faux filet sauce au poivre ou béarnaise, Coq au vin and Moules Frites. Or if you have more of a sweet tooth, opt for a main and a dessert instead for the same price, including in Tarte au citron, Crème brulee or Petit pot au chocolat. Diners also have the choice of having a three course meal for £25. Combine this with a choice of wines from the exclusively French list and your afternoon celebrations are set!

Expect to see all the French staff dressed up in traditional French attire, Breton tops and face paint using red, white and blue. To add to the fun and celebration, there will be recognisable symbols of Bastille Day, such as the Eiffel Tower and the French National Flag, tricolor.  An upbeat but relaxed environment with the Le Garrick staff is sure to make it great celebration, with many regulars who gather year after year to join in the fun. There will also be a special Bastille Day cocktail to try on the day!
