Located in the capitals “theatre land” the French style bistro, is one of the hidden gems of London with authentic French food served to match your visit to the theatre. Launching their new lunchtime menu Le Garrick offers for £12.95 per head a two course meal which also give Le Garrick the edge to start attracting lunchtime meetings in its basement which is ideal for discreet gatherings.

I chose the Cassolette de Calamar au piment rouge, which was a spicy snappy starter cooked in chilli and ginger, the dish was served well, and was overrall a god way to start the service.

The main was a simple Onglet sauce au poivre ou bearnaise, I always like my meat well done, and the chef got this right, with a good helping of steak and fries.

The actual key to Le Garrick is to integrate your theatre or lunchtime meeting with the restaurant, and invite your friends or colleagues to a discreet cubicle inside the venue for a lunch meeting or a meal before a production.

Overall, Le Garrick is a venue that has not blown its trumpet loud enough, great location, excellent French food and the team that run it are full of energy and dynamism, the key to making a restaurant a success in a touch period.

3/5 Very Good!
